External or internal jets?
External jets spray in front of the head, so you can see the pattern and clear a blocked jet without dismantling anything. They are also easier to change when they wear. The trade-off is that solution is applied ahead of the vacuum slot rather than within the head, which some operators prefer on heavy soiling and others find harder to control on delicate fabric.
Internal-jet versions of the same size are the AW50A at 3.5 inch and the AW51A at 4.5 inch.

Jets are consumables
Jets wear invisibly. A worn jet changes the spray pattern, drops the solution temperature reaching the fibre and alters chemical draw — and the result reads as uneven cleaning rather than a worn part. Replace brass jets every six months and stainless jets annually on a tool in regular use.
