Wheels are a customer-facing part
A portable is wheeled through a customer’s house. A wheel with a flat spot, a seized bearing or a lost tyre marks floors and drags on carpet, and it makes the machine harder to control on stairs — which is where most damage to a property happens.
Check the bearing as well as the tyre. A wheel that turns roughly is about to become a wheel that does not turn.
