How a solenoid valve fails
Two distinct faults. The coil fails electrically — no click, no operation, and it will often be warm or smell. The valve fails mechanically — it clicks but does not pass flow, or passes flow when it should be closed, usually because of scale or grit on the seat.
Listen for the click before you order. It tells you which half has gone.

The coil is a mains-voltage component. Have a qualified person do the work.
