The head comes with carpet cleaning brushes installed, so it is ready to run rather than a bare casting.
Brush condition is what decides the result
A rotary or counter-rotating head does its work through the brushes. As filaments shorten and splay the head stops agitating and starts skating, and the operator compensates with more chemical or more passes. Check bristle length against a new set rather than judging by eye.
