Read the range before you buy
A gauge is most accurate through the middle of its range. A 2500 psi gauge fitted to a machine running 400 psi puts your working pressure in the first sixth of the dial, where small movements are hard to read. Match the gauge to the machine — for a 500 psi carpet cleaning portable, a 600 psi gauge gives you a far more useful dial.
