Why liquid filled
A plunger pump delivers in pulses. A dry gauge needle flutters against that pulsation until the movement wears out, and long before it fails it becomes impossible to read accurately. Glycerine damps the needle so you get a steady, readable number and the movement survives.
A gauge is a diagnostic tool, not decoration
Pressure is the first thing you check when a machine stops cleaning as it should. A dead or wildly inaccurate gauge means every diagnosis after that is guesswork — you cannot tell a tired pump from a blocked jet without it.
