The same part is in your Razorback

Carpet Cleaners Warehouse's own Razorback MaxxAir AAM Pro uses this part number in its published parts list. If you run both a Dry Air Force 9 and a Razorback MaxxAir AAM Pro, this is one spare that covers both.

In the Razorback MaxxAir AAM Pro parts list it is item 3, Intake Grill, quantity 1, fixed with M6 × 20 mm machine screws (GN-00F-S2BN0335) and #10 stainless flat washers (AF-00F-S5AN0051).

Do not run without it

An intake grill is not trim. It is what stops a hand, a hose, a curtain or a drop sheet reaching a fan blade turning at speed, and on a site with other trades and sometimes occupants moving around, that matters.

It also protects the blade. A grill takes the impact when a machine is knocked over or thrown into a van; without one, the blade takes it, and a bent blade puts the whole machine out of balance.

If a machine has lost its grill, take it out of service until the grill is replaced. That is not an over-reaction on equipment that gets left running unattended in occupied buildings.

Keep it clear

Razorback's troubleshooting table names an obstructed intake or exhaust grill as a cause of a machine that runs briefly and then shuts off — the motor is overheating because it cannot move air.

On restoration work grills load up with fibre, dust and insulation quickly. Check and clear them between jobs, and check the grill is not distorted enough to be sitting against the blade.
