What shears are for on a cleaning job
Sprouts and pulls. A single tuft standing above the pile after cleaning is not damage you caused — it was loose already and the wand lifted it — but it is what the customer sees. Shearing it flush takes seconds and closes the conversation.
Never pull a sprout. Pulling takes the row with it and turns a five-second fix into a repair.
Keep them dry
High-carbon steel takes and holds a fine edge, and it rusts. Dry them before they go back in the van.
