We could not locate this part number in the Briggs & Stratton parts documentation we hold for the engines fitted to HydraMaster truckmounts (Mfg. No. 473177-0113-E1 on the Boxxer 427, and 356447-1239-G1 / Model Series 356400 on the Boxxer 318). That does not mean it does not fit them — it means we have not verified it, and we are not going to claim fitment we cannot stand behind.

Identifying your engine
Briggs & Stratton engines are identified by model, type and code, stamped or printed on a label on the engine itself. The same HydraMaster machine model has been built with more than one engine over the years, and parts changed at specific code dates within a single engine model.
If you are ordering for a machine you have not worked on before, read the engine label rather than assuming from the truckmount model. It takes a minute and it is the difference between the right part and a return.
Service advice
Change the oil filter with the oil, not between changes. A new filter on old oil achieves very little.
Fill and prime where the engine manufacturer specifies it, and smear clean oil on the seal before fitting. A dry seal grabs and either under-tightens or tears.
Hand tight plus the marked turn — do not put a strap wrench on it going in.
