Hydro-Force Professional Leather Cleaner, 1 quart. It is formulated to lift dirt, soil and spills from protected and aniline leather without the harsh chemistry that dries and stiffens a hide.
It works into the grain and emulsifies soil so it can be removed, rather than sitting on the surface and moving it around.
Identify the Leather Before You Clean It
Leather is not one surface, and the difference decides what you can safely do to it.

The water drop test is the quick field check: a drop on protected leather sits on the surface; on aniline it darkens and soaks in. Do it somewhere that will not show.
Always test in a concealed area first, on every job, whatever the customer tells you the leather is.
Clean, Then Protect
Cleaning removes soil and, with it, some of what was protecting the leather. Leather that is cleaned and not re-protected soils faster afterwards, which is why the follow-up matters.

Operating Advice
- Test in a concealed area on every job, before anything else.
- Work a panel at a time and remove the product before it dries. Cleaner left to dry on leather is residue, and residue attracts soil.
- Use a soft brush — horsehair (AB09) is the gentle option — and light pressure. Agitation on leather is about the cleaner reaching the grain, not scrubbing.
- Do not soak aniline leather. It absorbs, and what goes in does not come back out.
- Protect afterwards.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will it work on aniline leather?
It is formulated for protected and aniline leather. Aniline is absorbent, so use less product, work quickly and test first.
Can I use it on suede or nubuck?
No. Napped leathers are a different job and need different products and technique.
Do I need the protector as well?
For a professional result, yes. Cleaning removes some of the existing protection, and unprotected leather resoils faster.
What brush should I use?
A soft one. Horsehair (AB09) is the usual choice; avoid stiff synthetic bristle on any leather.
How do I tell what leather I am working on?
Water drop test in a hidden spot. Sits on top means protected; darkens and soaks in means aniline.
