Product Overview
Brass end cap for a garden hose thread. Used to blank off a fill line, a dump line or an unused port on a portable.
Important — the Washer Is Not Included
This cap seals against a flat washer, not against the thread. It is supplied without one.
A garden hose cap fitted without its washer will leak. Order the Washer for Garden Hose End Cap (BR600) at the same time unless you already have a spare.
Garden Hose Thread Is Not Pipe Thread
Garden hose thread is a straight thread sealed by a face washer. Pipe thread is tapered and seals on the thread itself. They are not interchangeable, and forcing one into the other galls both parts.
The manufacturer does not state the thread designation for this cap. If you are fitting it to anything other than a standard garden hose connection, check with us first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does it leak?
Almost always because the washer is missing. This cap seals on a washer, not on the thread.
Which washer do I need?
The Washer for Garden Hose End Cap (BR600).
Will it fit a 3/4 inch pipe thread?
No. Garden hose thread and pipe thread are different standards and forcing them damages both.

What We See in the Field
An end cap is useful for keeping dirt out of a hose in the van, but the washer is what actually makes a garden-hose style connection seal. If it drips, check the washer and sealing face before tightening it with pliers.
Order the washer with the cap — it is a couple of dollars and the cap does not seal without it.
