What the SEBO Part Numbers Mean
SEBO part numbers are used here for reference. Two points are worth knowing before you order:
- 5036ER: this listing has always described 5036ER as an exhaust filter. SEBO's own UK product page describes 5036ER as the pre-motor electrostatic micro filter, which protects the motor and gives S-class filtration, and lists it for the X1, X1.1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X7, X8, XP2, XP3, ECO variants and Evolution 300/350/450. Both are shown here because we have not confirmed which of the two filters in this kit corresponds to 5036ER. What the kit contains is stated above: one HEPA hygiene filter and one exhaust filter.
- 5828ER: SEBO's genuine 5828ER is a service box containing eight filter bags, a pre-motor micro-hygiene filter, an exhaust micro-hygiene filter and a sealing strip. This CCW kit is listed as the two filters only — order bags separately.
When to Change the Filters
SEBO does not publish a fixed change interval. Its service box pairs one set of filters with eight bags, which is a sensible guide for regular use. Change both filters at once, and change them sooner if suction drops with a fresh bag fitted or the filters are visibly clogged. Never run the machine without the pre-motor filter in place — it is what stops fine dust reaching the motor.

Is this a genuine SEBO filter?
No. It is an aftermarket kit made to fit SEBO X series machines and their Columbus, Windsor and Kleenmaid equivalents.
Does the kit include filter bags?
No — it contains one HEPA hygiene filter and one exhaust filter. Bags for the XP2 and XP3 are sold in 10 packs and 20 packs.
I have an ECO model. What else do I need?
ECO series uprights also need the separate exhaust filter: SEBO exhaust microfilter for XP10, XP20, XP30 and XP ECO.
Is the HEPA filter rated to a particular standard?
No test standard or filter class has been supplied for this aftermarket kit. If a job specification calls for a certified filtration class, ask us before relying on it.
