The Razorback CRB-15 is a 15 inch counter-rotating brush (CRB) machine for carpet agitation, pile lifting and low-moisture cleaning. Two cylindrical brushes turn towards each other at 483 rpm, working the pre-spray or encapsulation chemical into the fibre from both directions and lifting flattened pile as they go.
It is a preparation and interim-maintenance tool rather than an extractor. Contractors use it ahead of hot water extraction to get more out of the pre-spray, and on its own for encapsulation and compound cleaning in commercial buildings where carpet has to be back in use quickly.

How it works
The CRB-15 runs from a foot lever. Press the lever to release the handle and start the brushes; return the handle to upright to stop them and lock it in place. There is no separate switch to reach for mid-stroke.
Brushes change without tools. Slide out the axle, swap the brushes and refit. The body is stainless steel, and the transport trolley supplied makes it easy to move between the van and the job.
The electrical housing is rated IPX4, meaning it is protected against water splashing from any direction. That matters on a machine that spends its life running over pre-sprayed or damp carpet.
Brushes
The CRB-15 package is supplied with one pair of Blue (Standard) brushes fitted, Renovator Trays and a transport trolley. The manufacturer's guidance on brush selection:

The Black Soft brushes are available separately as the Razorback CRB-15 Soft Brush Set (Black Pair). Brushes are a wear item and should be replaced when the bristles have worn down or splayed enough to stop reaching into the pile.
Power supply
The CRB-15 is fitted with a short 1.15 metre power lead. On most jobs you will need an extension lead. Use a heavy-duty lead rated to at least 10 amps, fully unwound, and keep the connection off wet carpet. The machine draws 4 amps, so it runs comfortably from a standard 10 amp power point.

Warranty
12 months from the date of purchase against defects in materials and manufacture, when the machine has been used and maintained as intended. Brushes are wear items and are not covered. After the warranty period, CCW supports the CRB-15 with spare parts and technical help.

“Do I really need a CRB if I’ve already got a good truckmount?” It’s a fair question. The difference shows up on traffic lanes, where the pre-spray is sitting on top of the pile instead of being worked through it. One thing to watch, though: hair, string and carpet fibres can wind around the brush axles. Clear them out after each job rather than waiting until a brush starts dragging.
Frequently asked questions
Is the CRB-15 a carpet extractor?
No. It agitates, lifts pile and works chemical into the fibre, and it recovers dry soil or granules with the Renovator Trays supplied. It does not rinse or extract water. For hot water extraction it is used before the extractor, not instead of it.
What comes in the package?
The machine with one pair of Blue Standard brushes fitted, Renovator Trays and a transport trolley. The Blue brushes suit commercial level loop and low cut pile; for residential cut pile and wool loop carpet, fit the Black Soft brushes, sold separately.
Will it plug straight into a power point?
Yes, it draws 4 amps and runs from a standard 10 amp outlet, but the lead is only 1.15 metres long. Plan on a heavy-duty extension lead for almost every job.
How long does the warranty run?
12 months against defects, brushes excluded, in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Can I change the brushes on site?
Yes. The brushes change without tools: slide out the axle, swap the brushes and refit.
