Based on the latest technology in green surfactants and encapsulating polymers, Encapuclean Green DS suspends and releases soils from the carpet during cleaning.
Encapuclean Green DS employs a new exclusive, proprietary non-hygroscopic polymer that allows fast drying times. The polymer attaches to the soil in the carpet and dries to a brittle crust on the carpet fibre. When vacuumed, the dry brittle polymer fractures away, taking the attached soils with it.
Bridgepoint state carpets cleaned with Encapuclean Green DS typically dry in under an hour. Because the polymer dries to a brittle crust that is vacuumed away, less sticky residue is left behind to cause wicking and resoiling.
Bridgepoint describe Encapuclean Green DS as formulated to green cleaning chemistry guidelines; no third-party environmental certification is published for it. It cleans with a fresh fragrance. It is ultra-concentrated: 32:1 for normal soiling, 16:1 for heavy soiling.
Encapuclean Green DS can be safely and effectively used with a cylindrical counter-rotating brush, rotary brush or bonnet, oscillating, or orbital agitation machines for high-performance low moisture cleaning.
Summary of Encapuclean Green Benefits
Fast Drying
Encapuclean Green DS employs an exclusive, proprietary non-hygroscopic polymer that allows fast drying times. Encapuclean Green DS contains no alcohol or solvents to try and speed up drying. Its exclusive formula does not need them.
Stretches Farther
Double Strength (DS) means the formula is ultra-concentrated, stretching your square feet of cleaning per mixed gallon and your dollars simultaneously! Encapuclean Green DS requires only four ounces to a gallon of water for normal soiling.
Green Formula, Green Fragrance
Not just the cleaning formulation, but the fragrance is green, too. Encapuclean Green DS has a light fragrance and aroma that refreshes the room and lets your commercial customer know you have been there.
Encapuclean Green DS works effectively and is compatible with your favourite method of agitation cylindrical rotary brush, Cimex®, oscillating and orbital, and bonnet.

pH and fibre compatibility
Bridgepoint publish a pH figure for most products in this range, and it is the single most useful number when deciding what to put on a floor.
| pH | Typical use | Fibre caution |
| 2.8 to 5.5 | Fibre set, encapsulating guards, acid rinses, protectors | Suits wool and natural fibre. Strongly acidic products can affect some dyes — test first. |
| 6.5 to 8 | Shampoos, fabric prespray, general cleaning | Broadly fibre safe including wool. |
| 9 to 10 | Encapsulants, powders, general prespray | Usually fine on synthetic. Check the label before use on wool. |
| 11 and above | Traffic lane cleaners, fire restoration, heavy degreasing | Synthetic only unless the label says otherwise. High alkalinity damages wool and can cause browning on natural fibre. |
Rinse to a neutral or slightly acidic finish. Alkaline residue left in the pile attracts soil and can cause the carpet to resoil faster than before it was cleaned. That is what an acid rinse is for, and why the pH of the rinse matters as much as the pH of the prespray.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use this on wool?
Check the pH against the table above and read the label. Products at pH 11 and above are for synthetic fibre unless Bridgepoint state otherwise. Wool tolerates a much narrower pH band than nylon, and alkaline damage is not reversible.
Why does my carpet resoil quickly after cleaning?
Usually alkaline residue left in the pile. High pH cleaners work by breaking down soil, but anything left behind stays sticky. Rinsing to a neutral or slightly acidic finish is what prevents it.
Do I need to dilute exactly?
Yes. The dilution on the label is what the published pH refers to. Running a product stronger than specified moves the pH further from neutral, which increases both cleaning power and the risk to the fibre.
Is the documentation Australian?
The safety data sheet, label and specification sheet are Bridgepoint’s North American editions, provided for technical reference. Australian classification, transport and disposal requirements take precedence. Ask us if you need the Australian position on a specific product.
