Part of a small assembly
The pull latch is made up of a rod, a nut, a bolt and this washer. If the latch has gone loose or will not hold, replace the group rather than one piece — the parts wear together.
Identifying the right part
Fasteners and small components change between production runs, and the part on your machine may not match the current drawing. Measure what you are replacing, or photograph it against a ruler, and send that with your model and serial number. It takes a minute and it saves an order that does not fit.

Before You Fit It
- Unplug the machine before working on the latch.
- With the latch apart, check the rod, bolt and nut for wear as well as the washer.
- Fit the new washer in the same position as the old one, then tighten the nut until the latch holds without binding.
- Work the latch several times and confirm it holds before returning the machine to service.

Why a nylon washer rather than steel?
Nylon sits between moving metal parts and reduces metal-on-metal wear in the latch. A flattened, split or missing washer is a common reason a latch starts to feel loose.
Is 1/2 inch the hole size?
The listing gives the size as 1/2 inch but does not say whether that is the inside diameter. Check it against the bolt it fits over, or send us a photograph.
