Joining and repairing tubing
3/8 inch tubing is what carries air to the individual injectors. It gets stood on, caught in doors and cut to length repeatedly, so a joiner is what turns a damaged run into a usable one rather than scrap.
Cut the tube square with a proper tube cutter. A knife leaves a distorted end that will not seal in a push-to-connect fitting, and the leak is small enough that you will not find it by ear.
Fitting Advice
- Cut out the damaged section with a tube cutter, square to the tube.
- Push each tube end fully into the connector until it stops.
- Pull back gently to confirm the grip has engaged.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it fit other 3/8 inch tube?
Injectidry list it for HP products and supply their HP tubing as 3/8 inch ID x 1/2 inch OD. Push-to-connect fittings seal on the tube's outside diameter, so check the OD of any other tube before relying on it. If in doubt, ask us.
Is it the same as a nipple cap?
No. The connector joins two lengths of tubing. A soft red nipple cap closes an unused 3/8 inch port so the system does not draw room air through it.
Why does CCW sell these individually?
Injectidry pack them in bags of 100. CCW sells them each so you can top up a kit without buying a full bag.
