On a drying job the number of air movers usually matters more than the specification of any one of them. Evaporation is a surface-area problem, and four correctly placed units will beat two powerful ones aimed at the middle of the room every time.

Which is why the practical questions are how many fit in the vehicle, how fast they deploy, and whether they will still be running on day four.

How to choose

Low profile goes where standard cannot. Under a bed, against a skirting, beneath a vanity. On a furnished residential loss that is most of the wet area, which is why low profile units often dry a house faster than more powerful ones aimed across it.

Count units per vehicle, not horsepower. Stackability and footprint decide how many jobs a crew covers in a day. A unit that will not nest costs you more than its wattage gains.

Axial for volume, centrifugal for pressure. An axial fan moves a lot of air across an open space. Where air has to be pushed into a cavity or along a duct, a ventilator with layflat ducting is the right tool.

Clamps are not an accessory on directed drying. The X600 and X800 ship with clamps because aiming air at a wall cavity or under a cabinet is half of what they do.

Check the plug and the frequency. Anything specified at 50 Hz 220 V with an AU plug is built for this market. Imported units at 60 Hz are not the same machine.
