Important — newer style SX-12 only
Hydro-Force changed the SX-12 during production. This swivel fits the newer style. If you have an earlier SX-12 and you are not sure which you have, send us a photograph of the existing swivel before ordering.
Why the swivel is a wear part
A rotary hard-surface tool spins under pressure with the hose fixed. The swivel is the only thing standing between that rotation and your hose, and it carries the full solution pressure while it does it. When it starts to leak or bind, the tool becomes hard to steer and the hose begins to wind up.
Nickel plating is there for corrosion resistance — these tools live in wet, chemically aggressive conditions and a corroded swivel seizes.
