High pressure changes the stakes
At 1,000 psi a weeping stem is not a nuisance, it is a warning. Solution at that pressure and temperature will find the path a worn O-ring has opened for it, and it does not do so gradually once the seal lets go. If the stem on a 1,000 psi valve is leaking, take the machine out of service until it is repaired.
A note on cross-compatibility
PMF makes valves that are stated to be interchangeable with Kingston — the V2PS-EZ (1,000 psi stainless) and the V1-EZ (a direct replacement for Kingston’s 251-30). If you are repeatedly rebuilding a Kingston valve, ask us about replacing it rather than servicing it again.
