Why internal jets on upholstery
With the jets inside the head, solution is applied and recovered within the same footprint. On upholstery that matters — you are working on a fabric that cannot take excess water, over a filling that will wick anything you leave behind. Containing the spray is the difference between a cleaned arm and a ring mark that appears two days later.
The trade-off is serviceability: a blocked internal jet is not visible and not cleared in seconds. Fit check strainers and keep the solution filtered.

Jets are consumables
Jets wear invisibly. A worn jet changes the spray pattern, drops the solution temperature reaching the fibre and alters chemical draw — and the result reads as uneven cleaning rather than a worn part. Replace brass jets every six months and stainless jets annually on a tool in regular use.
