Product Overview

Conquer O2 is an oxygen-based stain remover for carpets and upholstery.

Conquer O2 has been designed to build on the outstanding ability of free oxygen to remove the toughest of stains from fibres and fabrics and to help control malodours. It teams the oxidising power of oxygen with wetting agents and encapsulating polymers to deliver a carpet and fabric stain remover which will remove those impossible stains that other spotters leave behind.

Thanks to the latest in polymer and surfactant technology, Conquer O2 delivers reliable, dependable results every time.

This listing is the 500 ml trigger spray — the spotting-kit size. It contains the same chemistry as the 5 litre pack.

A Note on Sanitising Claims

Earlier versions of this page described Conquer O2 as killing germs and providing powerful sanitisation. We have reworded that, because it is a regulated claim and Actichem do not publish an ARTG or APVMA number for this product.

What we can say honestly: hydrogen peroxide is a genuine oxidising biocide, and at the concentration used here Conquer O2 will reduce surface bacterial load and help control the organisms that cause odour. What it is not is a listed disinfectant, and it should not be relied on where a scope of works, an insurer or an infection-control policy calls for one.

If your job requires a listed disinfectant, use one of these instead:

How to Use

Always pre-test in an inconspicuous location for substrate sensitivity to chemicals and dye stability.

Dilution: ready to use.

Apply to the stain, allow the oxygen chemistry time to work, then blot or extract. Peroxide chemistry needs contact time — if it has not shifted the stain, give it longer before reaching for something stronger.

Safety

Please read this section. This listing previously described Conquer O2 as “Non-hazardous”. That was wrong. It has been corrected.

Actichem’s safety data sheet for AP478, version 2.2 issued 10 September 2025, classifies Conquer O2 as a HAZARDOUS CHEMICAL under the Model WHS Regulations. It is not classified as dangerous goods for transport. A smaller bottle is not a milder product.

  • Signal word: DANGER
  • H315 — causes skin irritation
  • H318 — causes serious eye damage
  • pH as supplied: 5.5 – 5.9 per the current SDS
  • Poisons Schedule: not applicable

H318 means eye contact can cause irreversible damage. A trigger bottle sprayed at floor level throws mist back towards your face — goggles are not optional. This is the more hazardous of our two low-strength peroxide spotters; Spotaway U carries the milder H319 classification at a similar peroxide strength.

Hydrogen peroxide — storage and shelf life

Conquer O2 contains hydrogen peroxide at under 8%. Peroxide decomposes with heat, light, and contact with metals and organic matter, and decomposition generates oxygen and pressure inside a closed container.

  • Store it cool, upright and out of direct sunlight. A hot van in an Australian summer is the worst place for it — and this is the size most likely to live in one. It is also where it loses strength fastest; a bottle that has cooked all week will not perform.
  • Keep it away from rust and swarf. Iron and copper catalyse decomposition.
  • Never let spilled product soak into rags, towels or carpet offcuts and then bundle them up. Peroxide-soaked organic material can self-heat.
  • Never return unused product to the bottle.

Do not mix

Actichem list reducing agents, acids, alkalis and combustible organic matter as materials to keep away from this product in storage. In a spotting kit that means keeping it apart from your solvent bottles — GumGone and Orange Solvent — and from the acid and alkaline spotters Brownaway and Bust.

Personal protective equipment

Actichem specify neoprene chemical protective gloves, chemical goggles, overalls and a PVC apron, with an eyewash unit available.

First aid

Eyes. Wash out immediately with fresh running water for 15 minutes, holding the eyelids open. Immediately call a Poisons Information Centre or doctor.

Skin. Remove contaminated clothing and wash with soap and water.

Swallowed. Rinse the mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Call a Poisons Information Centre or doctor.
