Red fan pattern jet for the Hydro-Force AS05 and AS14 sprayers. A 42 degree flat fan at 0.91 litres per minute.
Red is the fine, low-flow jet in this series — the one to choose when you want even coverage without putting excessive solution down.
What the Colour Actually Means
This is worth understanding, because the colour is routinely read as a pattern code and it is not one. All the jets in this series throw the same 42 degree fan. What changes with colour is orifice size, and therefore flow.

Yellow puts down roughly two and a half times the solution of red at the same pressure. That is the whole decision: red for control and drying time, yellow for speed of coverage.
Choosing the Right One
Red suits prespray on delicate or slow-drying fibre, and any job where over-wetting is the risk you are managing. Yellow suits open areas where you want the chemical down fast and drying time is not the constraint.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the colour change the spray pattern?
No. All jets in this series are a 42 degree fan. The colour tells you the flow rate.
Which colour should I use for prespray?
Red if drying time or over-wetting is your constraint; yellow if you want coverage speed. Blue sits between them.
Why is my fan narrower than 42 degrees?
Fan angle is quoted at a reference pressure. Pump the sprayer up properly and the fan opens out.
Can I clean a blocked jet?
Yes, with water and a soft brush. Never with wire — opening the orifice changes the flow rate permanently and you will not know by how much.
Do you stock blue and yellow?

What We See in the Field
A fan jet wears so gradually that technicians compensate by slowing down or moving closer without realising the application rate has changed. If the fan becomes uneven, streaky or heavier than it used to be, clean the jet first and replace it if the orifice is worn — don't poke it out with wire and accidentally enlarge it.
