Filter Bag - Long & Narrow

Regular price $51.73

Overview

Vacuum tank filter bag, long and narrow. HydraMaster part number 000-049-028, listed in HydraMaster's own accessory pages as 7" × 34" (approximately 18 cm × 86 cm).

The bag sits over the vacuum inlet inside the recovery tank and catches lint, fibre, hair and grit before the airstream reaches the in-tank filter and then the blower. It is the cheapest part in the vacuum path and the one doing the most work.

Choosing the right shape

HydraMaster lists three filter bags. They differ only in shape, and the shape has to suit the space inside your recovery tank and the position of the inlet:

Important: measure the tank, not the machine. Truckmounts of the same model have been built with different tank arrangements over the years. If you are ordering for a machine you have not bagged before, check what came out of it.

Operating advice

Empty it, do not just shake it. A bag that has dried out with slurry in it will not recover airflow with a shake, and a partly blocked bag costs you lift at the wand on every job that follows.

Carry a spare and swap it on site rather than working a job with a blocked bag. Wash the used one at the end of the day.

Check the cord lock as well as the bag. A bag that has slipped off the inlet is doing nothing at all, and you will not know until debris turns up somewhere it should not.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a bag last?

It depends entirely on the work. Restoration and heavy commercial fill and abrade bags far faster than domestic maintenance cleaning. Replace on condition — thinning fabric, holes at the seams, or a bag that no longer comes clean.

Does it replace the in-tank stainless filter?

No. Both are fitted, and both do a different job.

Can I run two bags for extra filtration?

No. Doubling up restricts airflow and costs you vacuum lift.

Which bag suits my machine?

The one that fits your tank and inlet. If you are unsure, measure the old bag or send us a photo of the inlet and we will tell you.

Not sure which of the three shapes you need? Send us your machine model and a photo inside the recovery tank and we will pick the right one.
