Head or glide?
If the tool has stopped sealing to the surface, decide whether the head itself is damaged or whether the glide is worn. A worn glide is the cheaper and far more common cause — see the 3 inch stainless glide for the Detailer.
Replace the head when it is cracked, distorted by heat, or the vacuum slot has been worn out of shape. A distorted slot cannot be corrected by more vacuum.
