HydraMaster DM2/3 Optional Handle Kit

Regular price $139.54

Overview

Optional handle accessory assembly for the HydraMaster DriMaster upholstery tools. HydraMaster part number 000-061-144.

It adds a second grip point to the tool, which changes how the tool can be worked — particularly on stackable chairs, theatre seating and any job where the tool is being driven from an awkward angle for long periods.

What it fits

  • HydraMaster DriMaster II upholstery tool
  • HydraMaster DriMaster III upholstery tool

The DriMaster III HiFlo tool manual describes it directly: the tool can be equipped with an optional accessory handle. It appears in both the DM2 and DM3 manuals as the Handle Accessory Assembly.

It is not listed for the DriMaster I. The DM1 parts breakdown does not include it. If you have a DM1, ask us before ordering.

Why fit one

Upholstery work is the most physically awkward cleaning most operators do. The tool is small, the work is at odd heights, and the operator is often bent over or reaching. A single grip point means the wrist and forearm take all of the load and all of the control.

A second handle lets you brace the tool with one hand and drive it with the other. On a long run of theatre seating or a stack of function-centre chairs, that is the difference between finishing the job comfortably and finishing it sore.

It also improves control on vertical faces — chair backs and panel work — where a one-handed tool tends to skip rather than track.

Fitting

It is an accessory assembly designed to fit the existing tool, so no modification should be needed. Follow the handle accessory assembly parts list in your DriMaster manual for the fastener arrangement.

Set the handle position before you commit to it — the right angle depends on your height and how you naturally hold the tool, not on where it looks tidiest on the bench.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit my DriMaster I?

Not according to the DM1 parts breakdown, which does not list it. Ask us with your tool details before ordering.

Does it change the tool's cleaning performance?

No. It changes how the tool is held, not how it cleans. What it can improve is consistency, because a tool you can control properly gets worked evenly.

Can it be removed again?

Yes — it is an accessory assembly, not a permanent modification.

Is it supplied with fasteners?

HydraMaster lists it as a handle accessory assembly. We have not verified the exact contents against a packing list. Ask us if you need to know before ordering.
