The 2.5 inch to 2 inch female reducer inserts into the 2.5 inch hose and then has a 2" Male cool cuff screwed onto it. Mates with: 2inch male
Reduce late in the run
Airflow is limited by the narrowest section of the line. Running 2.5 inch hose for the long run and reducing to 2 inch close to the tool keeps most of the run at the larger bore. Reducing at the machine gives you a 2 inch system with expensive hose attached to it.
