Important — how a bucket heater must be used
The element must be fully submerged before it is switched on and switched off before it is lifted out. An element energised in air destroys itself in seconds and is a fire and burn risk. Never leave one unattended and never use one in a bucket that could be knocked over.
At 2400 W this draws close to the full capacity of a standard 10 A outlet. Do not run it on the same circuit as other equipment, and do not run it through a light-duty extension lead.
Hot water is a scald hazard
A bucket of water at working temperature in an occupied property is a serious risk to children and pets. Keep it in a controlled area and never leave it out of sight.
