Product Overview
Actichem ProNeutro is a neutral-pH detergent cleaner designed to remove soil from pH-sensitive surfaces — fine stone and polymer-coated flooring in particular.
It uses nanosurfactant technology to deliver cleaning performance at neutral pH while leaving no haziness, streaking or slippery residue. It has become a default maintenance cleaner for a lot of contractors, and the economics are a large part of why.
Which pack size do you need?
This is the 5 litre pack. At autoscrubber dilution it makes up to 2,000 litres of working solution, so it lasts a long time on a maintenance contract. The 1 litre suits trialling it or a single site; the 15 litre suits multi-site contracts.
Why neutral pH matters
This is the whole point of the product and it is worth being clear about.
- Acrylic and thermoplastic floor finishes are softened by alkali. A floor coated with Instagloss or sealed with Instaseal and then maintained with general-purpose alkaline detergent will progressively dull, stop responding to buffing, and eventually need stripping and recoating years early. The finish did not fail; the maintenance regime destroyed it.
- Marble, limestone and travertine are calcium carbonate and are etched by acids. Neutral cleaning is the only safe routine option.
- Timber floors are damaged by both extremes and by excess water.
If you have specified and laid a floor finish, specifying the maintenance cleaner is part of the job. The most common reason a contractor gets called back to a dulled floor is that the cleaning staff have been using whatever was in the store cupboard.
Benefits
- Genuinely economical — dilutes to remarkably low rates. See the dilution note below, which is where the real saving is.
- Fast on oily soil — nanosurfactant technology emulsifies oily soil and grime quickly, which suits autoscrubber work where dwell time is measured in seconds.
- Minimum residue — no streaks, haziness or slippery residue. That matters on highly polished flooring, and residue that builds up is itself a slip hazard.
- Substrate safe — fine natural stone, marble, polymer-coated flooring, timber floors and pH-sensitive surfaces.
- Not classified as hazardous — see the safety section. Genuinely relevant where cleaning staff rather than trained technicians will be using it daily.

Maintenance and medium-duty cleaning of granite, marble, limestone, engineered stone, acrylic polymer-coated flooring, timber flooring and other pH-sensitive surfaces.
How to Use
Read the safety data sheet before use. Always pre-test the cleaning solution on the surface to be cleaned.

Take the dilution rates seriously. At 1:400 through an autoscrubber, this 5 litre pack makes 2,000 litres of working solution. Cleaning staff routinely over-dose because more looks like it should clean better. With a minimum-residue product it does the opposite: excess surfactant is exactly what leaves the film and streaking the product is designed to avoid. Use a dosing system or pre-marked measures rather than a free pour.
Application
- Apply the solution with a clean cloth or mop, or through an autoscrubber.
- Rinsing is not generally required unless you have used a strong dilution. That is the residue technology doing its job, and it is what makes it practical for daily maintenance.
- Keep the container closed for maximum performance.
Safety
Verified non-hazardous — and we checked.
Actichem’s safety data sheet for AP662, version 2.2 issued 13 October 2025, records ProNeutro as a non-hazardous chemical and non-dangerous goods. No signal word, no hazard statements, no poisons schedule, no GHS classification. pH 7–8. The sheet states all ingredients are non-hazardous.
We are being explicit because we have been correcting a great many pages in this catalogue that claimed “non-hazardous” when the safety data sheet said otherwise. This one is correct.
One wording change. This listing previously described ProNeutro as having a “totally non-toxic hazard rating”. We have changed that to “not classified as hazardous”, which is what the safety data sheet actually supports. Non-hazardous and non-toxic are not the same statement, and we would rather say precisely what has been assessed than something broader that sounds better.
Practically: keep it out of your eyes, and do not drink it. Beyond that it is one of the gentlest products in our range, which is exactly why it suits daily use by general cleaning staff.
