Product Overview
Conquer is a stain remover for carpets and upholstery.
A multi-task spotting solution effective on a wide range of water-based and oily stains, with the added benefit of anti-resoiling encapsulation technology. The Conquer formulation provides serious stain removal properties across a wide scope of stain types, with a particular focus on fibre care and anti-resoiling functionality.
Thanks to the latest in polymer and surfactant technology, Conquer lives up to its name every time.
This is a great replacement for PowerClean PowerSpot.
This listing is the 500 ml trigger spray — the consumer pack.
Why Professionals Choose It
The anti-resoiling encapsulation is the point of difference. Many spotters remove the stain and leave a sticky residue that attracts soil, so the spot reappears as a darker patch within weeks. Conquer’s encapsulating polymers crystallise the residue so it releases at the next vacuum rather than holding dirt. If you have ever been called back to a “returning” stain that was actually resoiling, this is the chemistry that addresses it.
It is also the mildest spotter in our Actichem range — near-neutral pH, no skin or respiratory classification. Where it will do the job, it is the right first choice before reaching for anything stronger.
The On-Sell Pack
This is the size to leave with the customer at the end of a job. They get a spotter that will not damage the carpet you have just cleaned and will not leave a resoiling residue — which protects your work between visits and reduces the chance of being called back to a stain someone made worse with a supermarket product.
It is also the mildest product in our spotting range, which matters when it is going into a home rather than a work van. See the Safety section below for what to tell them.
How to Use
Always pre-test in an inconspicuous location for substrate sensitivity to chemicals and dye stability.
Dilution: ready to use.
Apply to the stain, agitate gently, blot with a clean white towel and allow to dry. Vacuum once dry to lift the encapsulated residue.
Safety
This listing previously described Conquer as “Non-hazardous”. That was not correct, and it has been fixed. The correction is a small one, and we would rather state it plainly than quietly change the page.
Actichem’s safety data sheet for AP462, version 3.3 issued 4 September 2025, classifies Conquer as a HAZARDOUS CHEMICAL under the Model WHS Regulations, on the basis of eye irritation alone. It is not classified as dangerous goods for transport.
- Signal word: WARNING
- H319 — causes serious eye irritation
- pH as supplied: 5.5 – 5.7 per the current SDS — mildly acidic
- HAZCHEM code: not applicable
- Poisons Schedule: not applicable
In practical terms Conquer is a low-hazard product: no skin classification, no respiratory classification, near-neutral pH. The single precaution that matters is eye protection.
We are saying that plainly because a catalogue that treats every product as equally dangerous trains people to ignore all of it. Conquer is genuinely one of the mildest products we sell, and that is useful information when you are choosing between it and something stronger such as Conquer O2 (DANGER, H318) or Bust (DANGER, H314).
If you are on-selling this to a customer
Tell them three things and they will use it correctly:
- Keep it out of eyes — it is classified for serious eye irritation. Rinse for 15 minutes if it happens.
- Blot, do not scrub — scrubbing distorts the pile and can set the stain permanently.
- Vacuum once dry — that is what lifts the encapsulated residue. Skipping it wastes the anti-resoiling benefit.
Keep it out of reach of children, and away from household bleach and other cleaning products.
Do not mix
Actichem list strong acids and oxidising or reducing agents as materials to avoid. Keep it away from the chlorine range and from concentrated peroxide products.
Personal protective equipment
Safety glasses with side shields or chemical goggles.
First aid
Eyes. Wash out immediately with fresh running water for 15 minutes, holding the eyelids open. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Skin. Wash with soap and water.
Swallowed. Rinse the mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Call a Poisons Information Centre or doctor.
