Replacement Inner Shell and Brush Replacement for the AR51G SX-7 head

Regular price $113.61

Product Overview

The rotating inner shell with its brush skirt, for the Hydro-Force SX-7 hand tile tool (AR51G).

The SX-7 head is a fixed two-piece outer shell over a rotating inner shell. The inner shell and its skirt do the work and take the wear, which is why they are the serviceable item rather than the whole head.

When to Replace It

The skirt seals the tool to the floor. Once the bristles are worn, bent or missing in patches, that seal goes and recovery drops — you finish with wetter grout and more overspray, and no amount of extra vacuum fixes it.

If the head is also grabbing or hard to move on smooth tile, look at the Vacuum Relief Ring (NM4086) as well; that is a lift problem rather than a seal problem.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it fit any other tool?

No. It is specific to the SX-7 head.

Is the outer shell replaceable too?

The outer shell is a separate two-piece item. Contact us if the outer is damaged rather than the inner.

How do I know the skirt has gone?

Recovery drops off and the tool leaves the floor wetter than it used to at the same pressure and speed.
