This part is for the Razorback MaxxGuard 550 and 550UV. CCW supplies spare parts to keep existing machines in service. Check the model plate on your machine before ordering, or contact CCW with the model and we will confirm the fit.

No modification of the Razorback MaxxGuard 550 or 550UV air scrubber is required — place the new filter and re-secure the cover.
What it does
- True HEPA filter, stated to capture 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 µm.
- Activated carbon filter removes odours.
- Helps remove pollen, dust mites, pet dander, dust and odour.
- With the HEPA/activated carbon filter fitted, the air scrubber plays a bigger part in keeping an enclosed environment clean and safe.
The HEPA and carbon do different jobs. HEPA media traps particles — dust, spores and fine debris. Carbon adsorbs odour molecules and gases, and it is used up as it works: once it is saturated it stops removing odour even though air still passes through it freely.

Changing the filter
- Loosen the 4 locks that hold the filter board in place.
- Take out the filter panel board.
- Remove the used filters and replace them with new filters.
Replace as necessary — we recommend changing every 6–8 months. Change it sooner if odour removal drops off, or after a job that has heavily loaded it.
Treat a filter that has been used on a mould, sewage or fire job as contaminated. Wear a respirator and gloves, bag the used filter before you carry it through the property, and change it on site rather than in the van.
Protect it with the pre-filter
The MaxxGuard's MERV-10 pre-filter (5 pack) catches the coarse dust before it reaches this filter. Changing the inexpensive pre-filter regularly is what makes the HEPA/carbon filter last.

Does it fit the MaxxGuard 550UV as well as the 550?
Yes. It is listed for both, and for the AlorAir CleanShield HEPA 550.
Can I vacuum or wash the HEPA filter and reuse it?
No. Cleaning damages HEPA media and does not restore the carbon. Replace it.
Is it sold singly?
Yes, each. It is packed 3 per box and 9 per carton if you want to buy in quantity.
