Forearm Forklift 2-Person Lifting Straps (Pair)

Regular price $95.55

SKU:AX116

Genuine Forearm Forklift lifting straps, sourced from the USA. These lifting straps utilise the power of leverage to make moving easy.

These straps are the genuine original product from the original manufacturer, not a low-cost copy.

It's part of the cleaner's life to move heavy furniture. Forearm Forklift says the straps make anything you carry seem up to 66% lighter. They also encourage proper lifting techniques, and they keep dollies off your customer's floors.

What's in the Pack

  • Pack comes with 2 leverage straps.
  • Each strap is 9 ft. 4 in. long.
  • Both straps are adjustable up to 48 inches, so they're great for carrying small, medium, large & extra-large pieces.
  • Just X-cross the straps underneath the item that you're carrying and they do not slip out.
  • Comes with easy-to-use illustrated instructions.
  • Rated for carrying up to 300 kg.

How They Work

Two people wear the straps over their forearms, with the straps crossed in an X under the item. Instead of gripping the load with your fingers and bending your back, the weight is taken on your forearms and transferred to your larger muscles, so you lift with your legs and keep your back straight. Your hands stay free to steady the load.

Each end of the strap has arm loops at different lengths, so the same pair can be set short for a bedside table or long for a sofa or wardrobe.

Where They Fit on a Cleaning Job

Carpet cleaners and restorers move furniture on almost every job: out of the room for a full clean, off wet carpet during water damage work, or onto blocks while carpet dries. Straps suit the heavy, awkward pieces — sofas, dressers, bookcases, appliances — that are hard to grip and that you do not want to drag or put a dolly under on a finished floor.

For sliding rather than lifting, and for keeping furniture off damp carpet once it is back in place, see the related products below.

Using Them Safely

  1. Empty drawers and remove loose parts before lifting. Lighter and more stable is safer.
  2. Plan the route and clear it first, including doorways and turns.
  3. Set both straps to the same length for the item, cross them underneath, and check they sit on solid structure, not on legs, handles or trim that could break away.
  4. Lift together on a count, with straight backs and bent knees.
  5. On stairs, more of the weight shifts to the person lower down. Put the stronger lifter at the bottom and take it slowly.
  6. Stay within the rated load, and inspect the webbing and stitching before each use. Retire a strap that is cut, frayed or has damaged stitching.

Straps are a lifting aid, not a replacement for a proper manual handling assessment. Follow your own workplace health and safety procedures for heavy items.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much weight can they carry?

CCW lists the straps as rated for up to 300 kg. Forearm Forklift's own listings quote up to 800 lb (about 363 kg). Work to the lower CCW figure, and remember the practical limit is usually the two people lifting, not the straps.

Do they really make things lighter?

No strap changes the weight of the item. The leverage and better body position make it feel lighter and easier to control; the "up to 66%" figure is Forearm Forklift's.

Can one person use them?

No. This is a two-person strap set.

Are they suitable for stairs?

Yes, with care. The lower lifter carries more of the load on a slope, so pair people sensibly and keep the item level where you can.
