This Microglide 2 bonnet is made from a soft microfibre that is great at absorbing soil from softer carpet fibres.
Why Microfibre
The beauty of microfiber is the fibre itself. Microfiber has the ability to trap soil within its microfiber strands. Each strand of fibre has the ability to capture and hold soil more efficiently than cotton or other synthetic fibres. And since the base fibre is made from polyester it also rinses very easily. Microfiber bonnets are extremely durable too.

Because microfiber has more surface area, it has the ability to absorb even more soil than cotton. Microfiber is also gentler on the carpet than other fibres because it has such a small denier; 1/100th the diameter of a human hair. Bonnets made from microfiber are also easier to launder than other types of bonnets.

Check the Size Before Ordering
Fits 43cm Bonnet Driver. Measure the driver on your rotary machine before you order: a 17 inch (43 cm) bonnet on a larger or smaller driver will not track properly and wears unevenly. For an 18 inch (45 cm) driver, see the Red and White Bonnet Pad 45 cm.
Using It
- Vacuum thoroughly first. Bonnets pick up soil from the surface; they do not replace dry soil removal.
- Pre-spray the carpet with your bonnet or encapsulation detergent and allow dwell time as the detergent label directs.
- Centre the bonnet on the driver and run the machine at its normal speed with even, overlapping passes.
- Turn the bonnet over when one side is loaded with soil, then change to a clean bonnet.
- Keep the bonnet damp, not wet. Over-wetting slows drying and can leave wick-back.
Care and Laundering
- Rinse thoroughly after each use.
- Machine wash with a standard detergent.
- No bleach and no fabric softener — softener coats the fibre and destroys absorbency.
- Air dry where possible.
- Replace when the backing or the fibres show visible wear.

Both are soft microfibre bonnets. The Microfiber GLIDE 8 inch suits multi-head machines and drill-driven drivers; this 17 inch bonnet suits a single 43 cm driver on a rotary machine. Choose by the pad size on your machine.
Is it aggressive enough for heavy soil?
No — it is the gentle option. For heavy soil on commercial loop pile, use a scrub bonnet or pad and keep the microfibre bonnet for softer fibres and maintenance cleans.
Can I use it with encapsulation chemistry?
